What should I do if I forget to take Metformin when I should?
If you forget to take Metfor..at the scheduled time, take it as soon as you remember. Never take more Metformin to make up for a missed dose. If it is nearly time for the next dose, take just one dose and continue taking Metformin as you normally would. Never take two doses on the same day.

What is Metfomin?
hydrochloride is an antidiabetic (biguanide) available under various names, such as Glumetza, Fortamet and Obimet, and prescribed to reduce blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes.
Metform is one of a number of diabetic medications available to lower your blood sugar levels. It is available under brand names, including Glucophage SR, or as a less expensive generic.
Your doctor may prescribe Metform alongside another antidiabetic treatment, such as dapagliflozin, empagliflozin, pioglitazone or insulin. Some antidiabetic treatments combine Metform with other ingredients, such as Forxiga, which combines Metform with dapagliflozin.
Overweight adults with type 2 diabetes can benefit from taking Metform long-term to lower the health risks attributed to diabetes.
